What to Expect During your Consultation
Initial Naturopathic Consultation
Initial naturopathic consultations may last between 60-90 minutes. The naturopathic approach is built on an individualised treatment plan, which means completing a thorough health history questionnaire. This will be emailed out to you along with a consent form which you will be asked to complete and return via email, prior your initial consultation. The more Information we know about you and your health concern(s), the more we can devise strategies to better help you.
During this visit we will discuss your health concerns, symptoms, and goals. A full medical history, including the different aspects of your symptoms, prior medical history, family history, other constitutional symptoms, medicines and supplements you are taking, and any other concern you might have.
Expect to answer questions about your health concerns, also about your diet, lifestyle, stress level, supplementation/medication, and environment. Following this, diagnostics (pulse, blood pressure, urine analysis) as standard, will be taken). In clinic ‘face to face’ appointment are also available.
Follow-up Naturopathic Consultation
During this visit we will focus on how you responded to the implemented treatment plan, track improvement or worsening of various symptoms, followed by a brief physical exam, where necessary. For most patients, follow-up visits may be recommended on a 2–4-week basis if working with a chronic disorder, or
3-6 months if working with health maintenance or preventative medicine.
